At Plains you will find women and men, young and old, seeking to live as faithful followers of Jesus Christ. The members at Plains are committed to caring for others, practicing peacemaking, and sharing God’s love and resources in the local community and across the wider church and world. What to Expect
Sunday School
There are Sunday School classes at 9 a.m. for all ages - infant through adult.
A greeter will direct you to the class of your choice.
Sunday Worship Service
The worship service begins at 10:15 a.m. A typical service lasts about 75 minutes and includes a call to worship, prayer, singing, scripture reading, children’s time, sermon, congregational sharing time, offering and benediction. A variety of music is included in a service but is mostly four-part singing of hymns.
People of all ages are often involved in the service, from worship and song leaders to scripture readers and children’s time.
Other Information
Our accessible entrance can be found on the lower side of the building, with a ramp to enter and a push button door opener. After entering the lower side entrance, an elevator is located past the Lower Fellowship Area and to the left.
Hearing aids and large-print materials for use during the Worship Service are available from an usher upon request.
Childcare for infant-age 2 is available in our Nursery during Sunday School and the Worship Service. Childcare for infants-age 5 is available in our Nursery during the Worship Service.
